Audiences aren't communities.

Existing platforms were built to monetize attention, not to build belonging. Creators don't own their communities. Members have no reason to show up beyond the content itself.

Creators don't own their community
Your community lives on someone else's platform, under their rules, generating their revenue. Discord monetizes your members' attention. Patreon takes a cut of subscriptions. You get neither the data nor the relationship — just access, revocable at any time.
Lurking is the default
On Discord, 90% of members never send a message. There's no incentive to participate. No recognition for showing up. No difference between a member who's been there since day one and someone who joined yesterday. Passive is indistinguishable from active.
Private conversations aren't private
Community spaces that feel intimate aren't actually private. Every message is readable by the platform, accessible to its moderation team, and stored indefinitely. "Private" is a UX label — not a technical reality. Real community trust requires real privacy guarantees.

A real community stack.
For real communities.

Community isn't just a chat room. Recline is built for the full loop — private spaces, member contribution, creator support, and recognition that means something.

Creator-owned spaces
You create the server, you set the rules. Custom roles with granular permissions, invite controls, and a community structure you actually control. The server belongs to you — not to the platform.

Sparks economy
Members earn Sparks automatically every day they log in. Spend them to tip creators, send animated messages, or broadcast announcements. Status is earned by showing up — and creators earn revenue from the engagement they generate.
daily rewards · creator tips · cashout
Encrypted channels
Messages are encrypted in your browser before they leave your device. The server stores only ciphertext — architecturally unable to read channel conversations. No policy, no moderator, no database breach changes this.
AES-GCM-256 · PBKDF2-SHA256
Encrypted direct messages
DMs use ECDH P-256 key exchange — your private key never leaves your device. The server is a blind relay: it delivers ciphertext it cannot read, and stores nothing in plain text.
ECDH P-256 · HKDF-SHA256
Voice & video calls
Peer-to-peer WebRTC calls — Recline is never in the audio or video path. DTLS-SRTP handles media encryption. Screen sharing up to 1440p, deafening, per-peer volume, and spatial call layouts included.
WebRTC · DTLS-SRTP · P2P
No email or phone required
Sign up with a username and a password. Nothing else is asked — at signup, or at any point after. No identity linked. No contact information stored. No way to connect your account to your real-world identity unless you choose to.

Different platforms solve different problems.

Discord is great for casual community chat. Patreon is great for subscriptions. Neither was built to be a place where members belong and creators own the relationship. Recline is.

Privacy makes the community real.

Private communities only work if they're actually private. Encryption is the architectural guarantee — not a setting, not a promise, not something a policy update can remove.
